titleOfInvention Variant isph and method for synthesizing compound having, as structural unit, isoprene obtained by using said variant enzyme
abstract As a result of determining an enzyme that is a limiting factor for improving the amount of isoprenoids synthesized in a MEP pathway, the present invention provides: a variant of said enzyme; a method for synthesizing a hydrocarbon having, as a structural unit, an isoprene obtained by using a MEP pathway in which said limiting factor is resolved; and a screening system for an enzyme involved in an isoprenoid pathway using an isoprenoid pathway expression system. According to the present invention, it has been identified that IspH is an enzyme that is a limiting factor for improving the amount of isoprenoids synthesized in a MEP pathway. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that the amount of isoprenoids synthesized in a MEP pathway including a variant of said IspH is high.
