abstract The present invention provides antigen testing kits for the detection of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In a specific embodiment, the testing kit comprising a biosensor having at least one electrode conjugated to one or more aptamers configured to bind to one or more proteins produced by SARS-CoV-2. In another embodiment, the one or more aptamers bind to the Spike (S) glycoprotein or Nucleocapsid (N) protein produced by SARS-CoV-2.
