abstract The present invention relates to a sleep aid apparatus, in particular, a sleep aid apparatus for use in settling infants to sleep. The sleep aid apparatus includes a light source adapted to generate a light signal, projected from said sleep aid apparatus with a first luminosity, wherein said first luminosity is periodically variable. The light signal has a wavelength selected from a range of 600nm to 700nm. The sleep aid apparatus also includes a sound source adapted to generate an audio signal, wherein within a predetermined frequency range said audio signal has a signal intensity which generally decreases as the frequency increases.
