abstract |
The invention allows the selective extraction of lithium salt from a solid mixture of alkaline or alkaline-earth salts suspended in an organic solvent by selective Li+ cation trapping with a phosphorous crown ether. The recovery of lithium is carried out by a simple water washing of the organic phase containing the metal complex, with the exception of any other additive. The organic phase containing the complex is re-injected into the reactor containing the suspended salt mixture for a new extraction cycle. |
