The bifidobacterium strain is obtained by continuously researching the intestinal floras of the long living elderly in Bama district in Guangxi of China for many years, selecting elder excrement samples having a high intestinal bifidobacteria quantity and carrying out separation and purification by a selective culture method. The bifidobacterium animalis can not only improve the intestinal health of populations, but also has a potential effect of improving immunity. Meanwhile, a simple and easy breeding method and use is provided, and the present invention thus has high efficiency and low cost.
