abstract The present invention relates to a food supplement for preventing anaemia and with an orexigenic and invigorating effect in mammiferous animals, especially pets. The food supplement comprises 2.5-20% by weight haemolymph of Polychaeta native to Chile, substantially free of cells and cellular debris, and excipients acceptable for veterinary food use. The food supplement has, simultaneously, an anaemia-preventing effect, an orexigenic effect and an invigorating effect in non-human mammiferous animals.
