titleOfInvention | Nootropic fullerenes and use |
abstract | A composition having a fullerene with a cage structure, a first functional group, and a second functional group. The first functional group includes glutathione that can accrue negative charge. The second functional group includes phosphate, with phosphorous having an oxidation state of 5. The first and the second functional groups independently undergo reversible biochemical reduction-oxidation reactivity. The second phosphate functional group includes an adduct of an adenosine functional group. One second phosphate functional group includes an adduct of an adenosine phosphate functional group, with phosphorous having an oxidation state of 5. Some fullerene s include C60 or C70 fullerene. Some compositions include a redox metabolite of fullerene glutathione adenosine phosphates, such as when the first functional group includes a dimeric or oxidized glutathione. The composition or their redox metabolites may store up to 6 (six) electrons, and up to 5 protons in any combination. A topical composition and a pharmaceutical composition also are provided. |
