abstract The invention relates to a disinfection apparatus (2) for a control panel (3) of an input device (1), having a fastening device (5) for fastening the disinfection apparatus (2) to the input device (1) and at least one ultraviolet-emitting diode (6), UV LED (6), for generating disinfecting radiation (7) having a wavelength of less than 280 nm, wherein the UV LED (6) is arranged in such a manner that, when the disinfection apparatus (2) is fastened as intended to the input device (1), at least a major part of the disinfecting radiation (7) generated irradiates the control panel (3) to interrupt transmission chains of germs in public spaces.
