abstract Provided are: a composition for a covered-wire seal containing a 2-cyanoacrylate compound that yields a cured product having not only exceptional heat resistance, moist heat resistance, and thermal shock resistance but also exceptional flex resistance, the 2-cyanoacrylate compound containing, relative to a total of 100 mass%, more than 50 mass% to not more than 99 mass% of a 2-cyanoacrylate having an ether bond on an ester residue, and at least 1 mass% to less than 50 mass% of at least one alkyl 2-cyanoacrylate selected from the group consisting of isopropyl cyanoacrylate and n-butyl cyanoacrylate; and a covered wire covered by the composition.
