abstract |
Provided is a fire-resistant insulating composition that is excellent in both heat insulation and fire resistance. This fire-resistant insulating composition comprises: calcium sulfate in an amount of 70 to 250 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of calcium aluminate in which the CaO content is at least 34 mass%; and, with respect to the total of 100 parts by mass of the calcium aluminate and the calcium sulfate, a hydration promoter in an amount of 0.5 to 5 parts by mass and a setting modifier in an amount of 0.1 to 2 parts by mass, where the hydration promoter is obtained by mixing (A) lithium carbonate and (B) potassium carbonate and/or sodium carbonate such that the mass ratio [(A)/(B)] falls within the range from 1/20 to 1/1. |
