abstract An underpants-type absorbent article (1) has an absorbent body (10) and a waist member (20) overlying the non-skin side of the absorbent body (10), and has a pair of separation parts (25) that separate the waist member (20) into a front body (20f) and a back body (20b). At both side parts in the left-right direction of one of the front body (20f) and the back body (20b), at least one pair of attachment parts (32) are provided each of which is removably attached to a predetermined region of the other of the front body (20f) and the back body (20b). The other of the front body (20f) and the back body (20b) has, at a position corresponding to the center in the up-down direction of the attachment parts (32), an expansion/contraction region (20EA) that can expand and contract in the left-right direction.
