abstract In order to provide an organic compound that can be suitably utilized as a light emission material for a display and an organic light emission device containing such an organic compound, an organic compound according to an embodiment of the present invention has a lone pair and a π electron orbit, and an energy difference ΔEST obtained by subtracting an energy level ET1 in a lowest triplet excited state T1 from an energy level ES1 in a lowest singlet excited state S1 is -0.20 eV ≤ ΔEST < 0.0090 eV.
