The present invention relates to an anti-microbial object and a process to make the same. Wherein, the article is made by coating at least 2 layers over a substrate, each layer containing silver particles physically distributed in between thermal cross-linked structure of resin coating the individual layers. The process includes mixing the silver particles with a polymer coat or a ceramic coat, impregnating the coats and imbibing antimicrobial qualities in each coat. The coats are then sequentially layered over the substrate using industrially acceptable coating techniques such a spray coating, PTFE coatings, Ceramic coatings, PEEK based polymer technology and sol-gel technology. The resultant objects made using this invention display antimicrobial activities of >99%. |
