abstract | The present invention provides a method for preparing a carboxylic acid modified-nitrile based copolymer latex, comprising: a step for initiating, in a reactor, an emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture comprising a conjugated diene-based monomer, an ethylenically unsaturated nitrile-based monomer, an ethylenically unsaturated acid monomer, and a water-soluble monomer, in the presence of 0.01 to 0.1 parts by weight of a fat-soluble initiator and water with respect to a total of 100 parts by weight of the monomer mixture, under the condition that the weight ratio (M/W) of the monomer mixture to water is between 1.1 and 1.4 (S10); a step for controlling the weight ratio (M/W) to 0.8 to 1.0 by adding water when a polymerization conversion rate of the polymerization is between 30% and 40% (S20); and a step for controlling the weight ratio (M/W) to 0.6 to 0.7 by adding water when the polymerization conversion rate of the polymerization is between 60% and 70% (S30), wherein 0.1 to 2.0 parts by weight of sodium naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde condensate is added with respect to a total of 100 parts by weight of the monomer mixture when the polymerization conversion rate of the polymerization is 10% or more and less than 60%. |
