abstract |
Provided are: a transformant which can produce a gallic acid or a salt thereof using saccharides as raw materials; and a method for producing a gallic acid or a salt thereof using said transformant. This transformant has enhanced expression of (A) a polypeptide having 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid hydroxylase activity, (B) a polypeptide having 3-hydroxybenzoic acid synthase activity, and (C) a polypeptide having 3-hydroxybenzoic acid hydroxylase activity, and has the ability to produce a gallic acid or a salt thereof. |
