titleOfInvention Method for preparing stabilized natural rubber
abstract The invention relates to a method for processing natural rubber, which comprises the introduction of a mixture of a wet coagulum of natural rubber and a viscosity stabilizer into a screw extruder that is equipped with a sheath, in which the screw turns, and with a hole die at the end of the screw, by means of a feed hopper which equips the screw extruder, wherein the compression of the mixture in the sheath has a temperature greater than or equal to 130 °C and less than or equal to 210 °C, and wherein an adiabatic flash expansion at a differential pressure of greater than or equal to 40 bar is carried out at the die outlet. The method provides a good industrial trade-off, since it makes it possible both to minimize the curing of the natural rubber during storage and to reduce the energy consumption and the space requirement of the natural rubber manufacturing devices in the remilling factories of natural rubber.
