abstract The invention describes a first method for generating a mathematical model useful for the diagnosis, prognosis and/or monitoring of Alzheimer's disease (AD), which is obtained by means of the multivariant statistical analysis of the metabolomic profiles of AD patients and of subjects who do not have AD. The mathematical model considers a set of biomarkers with different degrees of involvement in the disease. The invention also relates to a second in-vitro method for the diagnosis, prognosis and/or monitoring of AD, wherein the mathematical model previously obtained using the first method is applied to any problem sample to be analysed.
