abstract The present invention concerns a method (60) for preventing a non-authorized using of an aerosol generation device in a restricted area, comprising the steps of determining (61) a travelling speed; determining (65), if said speed is above a predetermined threshold, that the aerosol generation device is in the restricted area and disabling device; determining (67) a device characteristic of the aerosol generation device; comparing (71) the device characteristic with an updatable database to generate a second control signal; and transmitting (73) to the device a second control signal causing normal operation of the aerosol generation device or adjusted operation the aerosol generation device according to the restrictions of the restricted area.
