titleOfInvention | Polypeptide having epoxy-removing catalytic activity, coding nucleic acids of same, and uses thereof |
abstract | Provided are a polypeptide having epoxy-removing catalytic activity, the nucleic acid sequence thereof being represented by SEQ ID NOs: 1-35, a nucleic acid molecule coding the polypeptide, a nucleic acid construct comprising the nucleic acid, a detoxifying pharmaceutical composition, a potable or edible item, or a feed composition comprising the polypeptide, a host cell into which the nucleic acid is introduced, and an engineered microorganism. Provided are a method for producing the polypeptide, a method for utilizing the polypeptide in catalyzing a trichothecene compound in an epoxy removal reaction, a method for preventing cell poisoning or relieving cytotoxicity, a processing method for a potable or edible item or feed composition, and a method for lowering or reducing toxins in a composition. Also provided are a glutathionylated derivative, a method for utilizing the glutathionylated derivative in assessing a detoxification effect of a sample contaminated by the trichothecene compound, a method for measuring the epoxy-removing catalytic activity of the polypeptide, a method for appraising a compound capable of affecting the epoxy-removing catalytic activity of the polypeptide, uses of the polypeptide in food processing, feed processing, and medicament preparing, and uses of the nucleic acid in plant breeding and disease control. |
