abstract The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing bis(2-hydroxy-2-propyl)benzene, with which clogging of pipework can be prevented and production efficiency can be improved in a step for drying bis(2-hydroxy-2-propyl)benzene. The foregoing can be achieved by using a production method that includes a drying step in which water-containing bis(2-hydroxy-2-propyl)benzene is dried under conditions where the bis(2-hydroxy-2-propyl)benzene does not undergo sublimation and under conditions that lie below a water vapor pressure curve.
