titleOfInvention | Method for producing highly polymerizable n-vinylcarboxamide monomer |
abstract | Provided is a method with which it is possible to purify N-vinylcarboxamide efficiently and produce a highly polymerizable N-vinylcarboxamide monomer. This method for producing a highly polymerizable N-vinylcarboxamide monomer is characterized in that: the method includes (A) a step for melting by heating a crude N-vinylcarboxamide monomer containing 50-88 mass% of N-vinylcarboxamide monomer, subsequently precipitating N-vinylcarboxamide monomer crystals through cooling (cooling precipitation), and subjecting the precipitated N-vinylcarboxamide monomer crystals to solid-liquid separation (step (A)), and (B) a step for furthermore dissolving the N-vinylcarboxamide monomer crystals separated in step (A) in a mixed solvent of acetonitrile and a C6-7 aliphatic hydrocarbon, conducting crystallization (solvent crystallization), and performing solid-liquid separation to recover an N-vinylcarboxamide monomer purified product (step (B)); the mass ratio of acetonitrile/N-vinylcarboxamide monomer crystals in step (B) is 0.01-0.5 (inclusive); and the mass ratio of C6-7 aliphatic hydrocarbon/N-vinylcarboxamide monomer crystals in step (B) is 0.5-3.0 (inclusive). |
