An aspect of the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a lithium secondary battery, and a lithium secondary battery manufactured thereby, the method comprising the steps of: preparing a preliminary separator by applying and drying a slurry, which is for forming a porous coating layer, on a porous polymer substrate under humidified conditions; charging, into a battery case, an electrode assembly in which the preliminary separator is interposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and injecting an electrolyte solution; and heat-treating the battery case. Accordingly, a separator can be provided which has significantly improved ionic conductivity compared to commonly used separators. |
