abstract |
A purpose of the present invention is to provide a rubber composition which can attain both reinforcing properties and low-loss characteristics on a high level. This rubber composition comprises a rubber ingredient, carbon black, and silica, and is characterized in that the silica has a CTAB-adsorption specific surface area of 250 m2/g or greater and, when examined by disk centrifuge particle-size analysis, has an aggregate diameter (DCPS) and a primary-particle diameter (DI) which satisfy the relationship 700≥DCPS 3/DI 3≥300 (1), that the rubber ingredient comprises at least one rubber selected from between natural rubber and polyisoprene rubber and at least one rubber selected from among modified butadiene rubbers and modified styrene/butadiene rubbers, and that the proportion of the content in mass of the carbon black to the total content in mass of the carbon black and the silica is 70% or higher. |
