abstract | The invention relates to a method for producing metal alcoholates by means of re-alcoholisation, wherein a low metal alcoholate is fed via a lateral inlet into a reactive distillation column having an enriching section situated above the inlet and a stripping section situated below the inlet; a higher alcohol is fed into the stripping section, the bottom and/or a bottoms circulation stream of the column; at the bottom of the column and/or out of the bottoms circulation stream; a solution of a higher metal alcoholate is removed in the higher alcohol; and at the head of the column, a vapour comprising lower alcohol is removed, the vapour is at least partially condensed and a partial flow of the condensate is returned to the head of the column as a return flow. The method allows the production of metal alcoholates with a lower energy requirement. |
