abstract |
Application of mannitol as an additive in mitigating the impact of salinity on an anammox reactor. The denitrification performance of an anammox reactor under high salt conditions is improved by adding mannitol to the reactor. When wastewater enters the anammox reactor has high salinity, the activity of anammox bacteria would be severely inhibited, and in this case, the addition of mannitol to the reactor can greatly alleviating the problem of inhibiting anammox activity under high salinity conditions, thereby restoring and improving the denitrification performance of the anammox reactor. |
