abstract | The present disclosure relates a method of manufacturing a 3D printed object. The method comprises: selectively treating a first portion of build material to reduce the coalescing temperature of the build material, wherein the build material comprises polymer particles; fusing polymer particles in a second portion of build material to form a layer of fused build material; and heating the treated first portion of build material, such that polymer particles in the first portion coalesce to form at least one coalesced region and at least one void region in the 3D printed object.
