The present invention relates to a non-negative matrix factorization (NMF)-based metagene selection method and application thereof and, more particularly, to a production method and a production device for disease-related metagenes by utilizing NMF and domain knowledge, and a method for prediction of non-genetic data of a subject by using same. Metagenes produced using domain knowledge and NMF techniques according to the method of the present invention can provide accurate information associated with disease diagnosis, prognosis prediction, drug responsiveness prediction, and the like, and thus are highly likely to be utilized as novel bio-markers. |
