The present invention addresses the problem of providing a high-concentration microfibrous cellulose dispersion in which microfibrous celluloses are uniformly dispersed. The present invention pertains to a fibrous cellulose having a fiber width of at most 1,000 nm and having an ionic substituent, wherein the introduced amount of the ionic substituent is at least 1.00 mmol/g, and when the fibrous cellulose is made into an aqueous dispersion having a concentration of 0.5 mass%, the viscosity of the aqueous dispersion at 23ºC is 108-1,000 mPa∙s. |
