abstract | Provided is an aqueous resin composition for lithium ion secondary battery binders, characterized by comprising core/shell particles (A) that have a core portion comprising a polymer (a1) and a shell portion comprising a polymer (a2) and an aqueous medium (B), wherein a starting material for the polymer (a1) contains polymerization initiator at 0.01-0.2 mass parts per 100 mass parts monomer, and a starting material for the polymer (a2) contains polymerization initiator at 0.01-0.2 mass parts per 100 mass parts monomer. The aqueous resin composition has an excellent low-temperature film-forming capability and provides a binder that exhibits excellent adherence with electrodes and a porous body constituting a separator, and as a result is suitably used as a binder for lithium ion secondary batteries. |
