titleOfInvention Rectal-use composition for the treatment of constipation
abstract A rectal-use composition for application by enema, comprising a PEG-based water solution for rectal use. The water solution comprises (a) 20 to 80% by weight of a first polyethylene glycol having a mean molecular weight ranging from 2000 to 6000 Dalton and (b) a second polyethylene glycol having a mean molecular weight ranging from 200 to 600 Dalton. The first polyethylene glycol is in a quantity ranging from two to six times by weight the quantity of the second polyethylene glycol which is present in the water solution in a quantity ranging from 5 to 15% by weight.
