abstract | [Problem] To provide: a method for improving the tracking resistance of a flame-retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition; a use of a carbodiimide compound for improving the tracking resistance of a flame-retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition; and a tracking resistance improving agent. [Solution] This method is made to improve the comparative tracking index, by mixing a carbodiimide compound with a flame-retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition which includes a polybutylene terephthalate resin, a bromine-based aromatic flame retardant, and an antimony compound. The carbodiimide compound is used for improving the comparative tracking index. This tracking resistance improving agent contains the carbodiimide compound, and is for improving the tracking index. The carbodiimide compound is preferably used in a proportion of 0.01 part by mass or more with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polybutylene terephthalate resin. |
