abstract | The present invention provides: a novel method for suppressing deposition of a suspended substance, said method being capable of reducing the occurrence of a defective product due to a pitch or deposit from a storage tank by adequately controlling an oxygen-containing gas, a slime control agent or a pitch control agent when a papermaking facility is continuously operated; a method for suppressing a pitch trouble; and a method for detecting deposition of a suspended substance, said method being able to be used in the method for suppressing deposition of a suspended substance and in the method for suppressing a pitch trouble. A method for suppressing deposition of a suspended substance according to the present invention suppresses deposition of a substance suspended in water on the bottom of a tank that is arranged in a water system of a papermaking facility. This method for suppressing deposition of a suspended substance comprises: a step wherein stirring and aeration are performed by blowing an oxygen-containing gas into water; a step wherein change with time of the existence state of the suspended substance in the tank due to stirring and aeration is detected; and a control step wherein deposition of the suspended substance in the tank is suppressed by supplying at least one of the oxygen-containing gas and a slime control agent into the tank in accordance with the detection result. |
