abstract | The present invention addresses the problem of providing an active material which is capable of improving the cycle characteristics of a lithium ion battery. In order to solve this problem, the gist of the present invention is an active material which has, on the surface thereof, a surface coat layer that is formed of at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a polyimide precursor, a polyimide, a polyamide imide, a polyamide and a polysiloxane, wherein the resin contains a siloxane structure represented by general formula (1). (In general formula (1), each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group or a monovalent organic group having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms; and n1 represents an integer from 1 to 10,000.) |
