titleOfInvention Medical device
abstract The purpose of the present invention is to provide a medical device that can reliably ligate a hard tissue, and that can also easily detect whether a connection has been broken. This medical device comprises: a clip unit (10), which includes an arm section (20) having a pair of arms that open and close; a wire (52) for operating the arm section; a hook (70), which has a pair of claw sections, and which is attached to a tip of the wire; and a pipe-like insertion section (51) through which the wire is passed. As a result of the arm sections being clamped by the claw sections, the clip unit and the wire are releasably connected. The tip end of the insertion section includes: a reduced diameter section (55a) the inner diameter of which shrinks toward a base end; and a small diameter section (55b) having almost the same inner diameter as the smallest inner diameter of the reduced diameter part and being linked to the base end of the reduced diameter section. Maximum sizes of the claw sections in the radial direction in a first state, in which the clip unit and the wire are connected, are greater than the inner diameter of the small diameter section. The claw sections are constituted so as to be capable of passing inside the small diameter part in a second state, in which the wire is not connected to the clip unit.
