abstract The present invention relates to a polypeptide containing a specific nucleotide sequence derived from Oenanthe javanica, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising same. Specifically, the polypeptide, according to the present invention, increases the expression of various genes involved in in vivo immune responses, by means of a TLR signaling mechanism, and thus may be usefully employed as an immunomodulator, and especially, may also be usefully employed as an antiviral agent by promoting the expression of a gene exhibiting antiviral activity, among the immune responses.
