abstract The invention relates to a method for treating an aqueous fluid comprising at least one water-soluble polymer which has carboxylate or sulphonate functions in the aqueous phase, the method comprising: a) a step of bringing the aqueous fluid into contact with magnetisable micro-particles of zero-valent iron which are not functionalised by organic molecules and subsequently with at least one agent for precipitating the polymer, which agent is based on tetravalent zirconium salt, in order to immobilise the polymer on the particles; b) a step of separating the aqueous fluid and the particles on which the polymer is immobilised by magnetisation, in particular by applying a magnetic field, in order to produce a polymer-depleted fluid and a polymer attached to the particles. The invention also relates to a method for enhanced recovery of crude oil contained in a geological reservoir in which the produced water obtained by means of the method for treating an aqueous fluid is treated.
