abstract |
The present invention pertains to: a method for determining whether a biological sample of unknown origin has originated from liver cancer tissue; and a composition containing a liver cancer tissue-specific DNA methylation marker for performing same. The liver cancer tissue-specific DNA methylation marker exhibits low levels of methylation in normal liver tissue and other tissue, and exhibits high levels of methylation only in liver cancer tissue, and thus can be used to determine with excellent accuracy whether a biological sample is derived from liver cancer tissue. |
