This method for screening a secretion producing cell involves screening, from a plurality of cells, cells which produce a secretion of interest. The method comprises: a step A for capturing detection particles capable of capturing the cell and the secretion of interest, in a plurality of wells having, in the bottom section thereof, through-holes sized so that cells do not pass therethrough; a step B for causing the cells captured in the plurality of wells to produce the secretion; a step C for detecting the secretion of interest captured by the detection particles; and a step D for identifying, from the plurality of wells, a well in which the cells that produce the secretion of interest were captured, by using the detection result as an index. The well has a size with which the cells can be captured in units of one cell while capturing one or more of the detection particles. |
