The invention relates inter alia to a method for assessing the quality of hides, comprising the following method steps: acquiring the surface of the hide and analyzing the defective areas and non-defective areas, transferring the data to a data storage device, and carrying out a nesting step in terms of arranging as many geometries as possible on the flawless non-defective areas of the hide. The invention is characterized in that every geometry used during nesting is formed by a standard geometry of equal surface area and equal shape. |
