abstract The present invention relates to: a novel synthesis method for easily preparing, at high yield, a pseudoceramide compound, such as hydroxypropyl bispalmitamide MEA (PC-104), which can be used as an external skin preparation, a cosmetic composition, or a pharmaceutical composition, has an excellent skin hydration effect, and can be used as an active ingredient for repairing and preventing skin damage; and intermediates thereof. The present invention has various advantages, such as the suppression of side reactions, the improvement of yield, the improvement of purity, and the reduction of processing time in the preparation of a pseudoceramide, and thus is suitable for mass-production, and has the effect of reducing production costs.
