abstract | The present invention provides a curable composition for dentistry, the curable composition being suitable as a dental composite resin, etc., that has exceptional mechanical strength in a cured product together with low polymerization shrinkage stress, has low water absorbency, imparts little wear to opposing teeth, and furthermore has a consistency that facilitates filling a tooth cavity. The present invention pertains to a curable composition for dentistry including a polymerizable monomer (A), a filler (B), and a polymerization initiator (C), wherein: the polymerizable monomer (A) includes a polyfunctional (meth)acrylic monomer (A-1) that has a moiety (X) formed from a C1-15 alkoxylene repeating unit and has no aromatic rings, and a polyfunctional (meth)acrylic monomer (A-2) that has an aromatic ring and has no hydroxyl groups; the ratio C/O of the total number of carbon atoms and the total number of oxygen atoms included in the moiety (X) is 2.5-10; the total of the total number of carbon atoms and the total number of oxygen atoms that constitute the main chain of the moiety (X) is 25-60; and the polyfunctional (meth)acrylic monomer (A-1) content is 3-60 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the polymerizable monomer (A). |
