| abstract | The embodiments of the present application provide a data transmission method and device, relating to the technical field of communications, and used for ensuring the security of a terminal during the process of transmission of wireless capability information. The method comprises: before the terminal establishes an access stratum (AS) security context, performing NAS security protection of wireless capability information according to a non-access stratum (NAS) security context; then the terminal sending the wireless capability information protected by NAS security to a mobility management network element; the mobility management network element receiving the wireless capability information protected by NAS security, then performing de-security protection on the wireless capability information protected by NAS security, thereby obtaining and storing the wireless capability information of the terminal. Thus in the context where an access network device requires the wireless capability information of the terminal, the mobility management network element can send wireless capability information to the access network device. The present application is suitable for use during the process of transmission of wireless capability information. |
