abstract The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for continuous fermentation of synthesis gas at a processing pressure, which is in a range from 1.1 to 200 bar, preferably 2 to 20 bar. In addition, the apparatus has a reactor (1), into which at least two supply devices for reactant and additives open, and which is connected to a gas outlet, which has a pressure regulating device (7) and an outlet apparatus for an aqueous solution (W). According to the invention, the outlet apparatus is a pump-less operated outlet apparatus having an outlet line (2) with a time-controlled high-pressure valve (3) for controlling an opening and closing time.
