titleOfInvention | Livestock feed efficiency improving agent, livestock weight gain promoting feed, livestock breeding method, and methane generation limiting method |
abstract | The livestock feed efficiency improving agent and livestock weight gain promoting feed according to the present invention limit methane generation and demonstrate a satisfactory feed efficiency improving effect. The livestock feed efficiency improving agent and livestock weight gain promoting feed comprise a quinone compound derived from at least one kind of polyphenol selected from hydroxycinnamate and an ester thereof. The livestock breeding method and methane generation limiting method according to the present invention are characterized by blending said livestock feed efficiency improving agent into a feed and administering same into livestock or feeding livestock with same for breeding. The quinone compound may be obtained by subjecting roasted coffee beans or roasted coffee been grounds after extraction to drying under reduced pressure or polyphenol oxidase-based processing. |
