abstract | Provided are: an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of appropriately displaying a measurement result relating to a target blood vessel in an ultrasonic image, in a display range of the ultrasonic image; and a control method for the same. An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 1 is provided with: an oscillator array 2; an image acquisition unit 11 for acquiring the ultrasonic image; a display device 8 for displaying the ultrasonic image; a blood vessel information acquisition unit 16 for, by analyzing the ultrasonic image, acquiring blood vessel information that includes the depth and/or the diameter of the target blood vessel in the ultrasonic image; a blood vessel information display unit 17 for displaying the blood vessel information in a display range of the ultrasonic image; an interest region detection unit 18 for analyzing the ultrasonic image and detecting, in the ultrasonic image, an interest region that should be of interest other than the target blood vessel; and a device control unit 13 for, when the interest region has been detected, determining a display region of the blood vessel information in the display range on the basis of the position of the interest region and controlling the blood vessel information display unit 17 such that the blood vessel information is displayed in the display region. |
