The invention relates to an inhaler (10) with an evaluation unit (60) and also to the evaluation unit (60) on its own. The inhaler (10) has in the conventional way a housing (20) with a mouthpiece (22) and a chamber (12) in which there is a container unit (50), which can be pressed down for the purpose of dispensing medium. Provided between the container unit (50) and a wall (24) of the chamber (12) is an annular gap (14), through which air is sucked in and mixes with the medium flowing out through a discharge opening (32). The evaluation unit (60) is mounted on the container unit (50). It can be pressed down together with a container (52) of the container unit (50) and is designed for detecting the air sucked in through the annular gap (14). For this, it comprises a measuring channel (70), which forms part of a first flow path (100) for air flowing into the open end of the chamber from a surrounding area and which has a flow sensor (94) for detecting the air flowing through the measuring channel (70). In addition to the first flow path, a second flow path (110) is provided for air flowing into the open end of the chamber from a surrounding area, the flow resistance of which second path is equal to or lower than that of the first flow path (110). |
