titleOfInvention | Gold nanoparticle-selex based screening method for target-specific aptamers |
abstract | Screening of DNA/RNA aptamers that recognize target molecules (including biological molecules such as nucleic acids, lipids, sugars, proteins, and peptides, as well as hormones, low-molecular weight chemicals, toxins, ions, etc.) involves the systematic evolution of ligand exponential enrichment (SELEX). In general, the process of immobilizing target molecules on the surface of beads or a substrate is essentially required to perform SELEX. Also, since it is impossible to perform positive/negative monitoring that enables observation on whether an aptamer library is successfully binding with a target material in each round of the SELEX process, whether the SELEX process is properly performed is confirmed indirectly by analyzing the aptamers screened through multiple such rounds. In order to form a SELEX technique that is more convenient and simpler while addressing the aforesaid issues of existing techniques, the present invention proposes a novel SELEX technique using gold nanoparticles |
