abstract The present invention provides, as an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition having excellent gas barrier properties in a high humidity environment, especially excellent oxygen barrier properties in a high humidity environment, an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition which contains an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and a metal compound, wherein the metal compound satisfies general formula (1). (1): Ma(OH)bAn- (2a-b)/n (In the formula, M represents a metal species; A represents an anionic ligand other than a hydroxy ligand, said anionic ligand having a valence of n-, provided that O (an oxo ligand) is excluded as A; n is an integer of 1 or more; each of a and b is a number greater than 0; and a/b is from 0.1 to 10.)
