Provided is a nano-cerium-zirconium composite oxide, containing cerium oxide, zirconium oxide, and at least one oxide of a rare earth metal element other than cerium, the ratio of the mass fraction of cerium oxide to the mass fraction of zirconium oxide contained in the composite oxide being less than 1; after said composite oxide is heat-treated at 750°C for 4-8 hours, it has a particle size of 5-20 nm, and at least 1.10 mmol [O]/g of oxygen storage capacity. The obtained nano-cerium-zirconium composite oxide has an appropriate micro-nano particle diameter and a higher oxygen storage capacity. Experimentation clearly indicates that the T50 and T90 of the nano-cerium-zirconium composite oxide calcined at 750°C for 4 hours are approximately 150°C and 200°C, respectively, and the T50 and T90 after high-temperature aging at 1100°C for 4 hours are approximately 170°C and 220°C, respectively, exhibiting excellent low-temperature catalytic activity and anti-aging activity. |
