abstract This method for estimating the wall thickness of a blood vessel comprises: an acquisition step (S101) for acquiring behavior information which is numeral information relating to changes over time in the positions of a plurality of preset points on a blood vessel wall based on a moving image including the blood vessel wall obtained by using a four-dimensional blood vessel imaging method; a generation step (S102) for generating estimation information for estimating the thickness of the blood vessel wall on the basis of the behavior information acquired in the acquisition step (S101); and an output step (S103) for outputting the estimation information generated in the generation step (S102). The estimation information is information in which at least one selected from changes over time in displacement, changes over time in speed, changes over time in acceleration, changes over time in kinetic energy, a spring constant determined from displacement and acceleration, and a Fourier coefficient obtained from changes over time in displacement is visualized.
